Grading policy
Tier 1 has devised an accurate Grading Policy to ensure we deliver products to our customers with clear and concise information on their condition, both physically and aesthetically.
As part of the stringent Tier 1 process, we test our products and assign a grade on the condition and workings of each unit, taking into account their physical and cosmetic condition. Please be aware that when aesthetic checks are carried out on the units, emphasis is put on the most commonly-viewed area; for example the screen and surrounding plastics. In rare instances, an ex-corporate product could be up to three years old and any small markings or scuffs on the rear of the case or stand may not affect the result of the final grade.
Our grading structure spans from “Excellent”, our highest second-user grade, down to “Functional”, our lowest second user grade (whereby the unit works but carries a major cosmetic defect).
