Terms & Conditions of Sale

By placing an order one www.tier1online.com you are confirming that you have read and agree to the following terms and conditions:

Definitions

  1. “we”, “our” and “us” refer to TIER 1 ASSET MANAGEMENT plc (registered in England and Wales under company number 03708416, VAT#588 8828 53 and with its registered address at TIER 1 ASSET MANAGEMENT, 59 Stanley Road, Whitefield, Manchester, M45 8GZ)
  2. “you” and “your” refer to the buyer of any goods from “us”
  3. “contract” means the contract between you and us for the sale by us to you of goods
  4. “goods” means any goods you order from us
  5. “order” means an order placed by you with us for the purchase of goods by clicking "submit" on the checkout page
  6. “consumer” refers to anyone placing an order for personal use, which excludes anyone acting for purposes which are inside his/her trade/business/profession
  7. website means our website at www.tier1online.com

Contract

  1. Contract is formed between Tier 1 Asset Management and the Customer at point of despatch.
  2. Delivery

  3. Once your order has been despatched you will receive an e-mail from us with confirmation together with a tracking number. If you do not receive this e-mail within 5 working days of us receiving your cleared funds, please send an e-mail to customerservices@tier1.com
  4. We will only deliver to addresses with a UK Postcode. Under no circumstances will we deliver outside of the UK
  5. Delivery Types:
    1. STANDARD: your order will normally be despatched within 5 working days (Monday to Friday) of receipt of cleared funds. Please allow up to 10 days for a cheque to clear
  6. Where payment is by credit card we will only deliver to the registered cardholders address
  7. Delivery charges are subject to VAT and prices are indicated as either EX or INC VAT
  8. We do not allow you to collect your order for reasons of security and efficiency, no matter how local you are to us
  9. If you suspect that your package has been damaged in transit you should reject the goods or sign for the goods as damaged
  10. We cannot be held responsible for failed deliveries where
    1. you are not available to receive the delivery
    2. Courier companies cannot find your address
    3. adverse weather/traffic conditions prevent delivery
  11. Claims of goods damaged in transit must be noted at the time of the delivery to the delivery person/signing sheet, and notified to Tier 1 Asset Management Ltd as soon as possible after delivery by sending an e-mail to customerservices@tier1.com.
  12. Payment

  13. We only accept the payment methods as described www.tier1online.com/Info/tier_payment.htm
  14. We reserve the right to take payments for the funds prior to shipping of goods; however we will endeavour to take payment as close to this time as possible
  15. All payments are made inclusive of VAT, we are not able to charge excluding VAT prices
  16. All refunds are subject to delay based on your card issuer’s processes; we cannot expedite the time taken for funds to appear on your card
  17. Promotion Codes

  18. Codes may apply to specific time frames/products/order values, please refer to issuer's paperwork/website for full details
  19. Promotion codes are subject to withdrawal without notice
  20. Right to Cancel/Returns

  21. All cancellations in writing/email to customerservices@tier1.com
  22. When to cancel:
    1. Consumer customers: you have the right to cancel your order - this period ends on the expiry of the period of seven working days beginning with the day after the day on which you received the goods, you are respsonse for the cost of returning any items
    2. Business customers: once you have accepted/signed for your delivery you are no longer able to cancel your order
  23. We reserve the right to cancel any order for any reason; in this event you will be contacted via email and where funds have been taken they will be refunded immediately
  24. Goods purchased for personal use:
    1. You have the right to change your mind within seven working days of receipt of your order as in accordance with the Distance Selling Act 2000 providing you notify us in writing. If you wish to change your mind and return your goods you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods.
    2. Refunds will be completed within 30 calendar days, however all refunds are completed as quickly as possible
    3. The customer must return all items, accessories, cables and/or manuals that were provided
    4. Tier 1 reserve the right at any stage during the order process to cancel and refund an order in full, without explanation
  25. Refunds will only be made back to the card/payment method originally used
  26. All products and accessories must be returned as sent
  27. Software can not be returned once any seal is broken/marked in anyway
  28. Images

  29. Many of the photographs used are library images and we are therefore not responsible for any colour variances or style updates
  30. Retail product images do not guarantee brand new/retail products
  31. Products

  32. The specifications as advertised in product descriptions are as accurate as possible and every effort is made to ensure that information is correct; we will make every effort to ensure that any mistakes are rectified
  33. You are wholly responsible for deciding on the suitability of the goods offered and by placing your order and/or bid you are acknowledging the goods as being suitable
  34. When purchasing non-new equipment it is important that you read and understand the grading system and the factors affecting the price of your purchased goods, details can be found here
  35. Warranty, Returns & Technical Support

  36. If upon receipt of your item(s) you believe there is a fault, in the first instance please refer to your confirmation of despatch e-mail which indicates what you should do for each of the manufacturers products we supply
  37. For Technical Support issues please also follow instructions as above
  38. If you have an item covered by a Tier 1 warranty then we are unable to accept the return of goods without prior authorisation. Upon authorisation, we will e-mail you with instructions for the return of goods.
  39. Item(s) returned without prior authorisation may be refused upon delivery
  40. It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure any item(s) authorised for return are sufficiently packaged. Where delivery back to Tier 1 is the responsibility of the buyer, we strongly recommend adequate insurance is in place.
